Successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director of Market Structure Analysis to research and write reports on a variety of topics, including exchanges, dark pools, high-frequency trading and regulation, for distribution to Rosenblatt clients. May also play a role in client meetings/events/presentations, as well as representing the firm at conferences and in the media (including social media), depending upon seniority/competence level.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
|
* Strong knowledge of global market structure and regulation
* At least 2 years in a role involving covering or analyzing market structure/trading/exchanges preferred
* First-rate critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to work with and draw conclusions from data
* Excellent writing and oral communication skills
* Competence with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
* Self-motivation; ability to see projects through to completion without being micromanaged
* Desire to work as part of a team in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial, boutique culture
* Professional and personal integrity

| JOB REQUIREMENTS |
* 3-5 years of experience in a position on an IT team within the financial services industry.
* Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study.
* Experience with mysql & mysql cluster both as a user and administrator.
* At least 2 years of coding experience with Perl, C/C++, JavaScript or Linux.
* Experience with mod_perl on Apache.
* Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
