Successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Systems Architect to integrate existing third party systems, and develop new tools, reports, and programs to support a growing portfolio trading operation and corporate services group.  Duties to include:

- Design, develop, integrate and/or support:

   - low latency, high volume trading system

   - market data system related applications

   - high-performance trading software.

Code, integrate and unit test new applications and new features for existing applications.

- Model, simulate and benchmark solutions with the objective of maximizing systems performance under both heavy transactional and market data loads.

- 5-10 years of experience in a senior position on an IT team within the financial services industry.

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field of study.

- Demonstrated proficiency and expertise in C++ and Perl.

- Excellent knowledge of computer data structures and algorithms.

- Experience in writing multi-threaded programs.

- Ability to comfortably investigate and resolve high pressure, live trading issues.

- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.

The ability to proficiently work with shell scripting, HTML, XML, PHP, MySQL, Javascript, Servlets, mod_perl, SOA, Wintel/Lintel platforms and open source technologies like apache tomcat and MySql is necessary.

 Additionally, the ability to work with market data feed handlers, program trading platforms, algorithms, FIX, CCG and CMS protocols, OOAD, RUP or SCRUM design and development methodology is a plus.

Additional qualifications include: strong documentation, interpersonal and project management skills, ability to attend to details and coordinate/complete complex projects simultaneously.
