In 1979, after 10 years on the floor of the New York Stock Exchange, Richard A. Rosenblatt established his own NYSE floor brokerage operation that offered investors a range of alternative execution techniques. With Rosenblatt Securities, he forged a new type of execution firm – an agency-only execution firm to develop customized trading solutions that combine manual techniques with advanced order execution technology. Since then, RSI has continued to break new ground in the trading industry. RSI:

• Instituted one of the first agency-only OTC desk's in 1986
• Pioneered Direct Access to the NYSE floor in 1988
• Provided the first DOT system on a non-member's trading desk in 1989
