Charles Roney recently joined New York-based Rosenblatt Securities as a vice president and chief compliance officer. Roney comes to the firm from Thomas Weisel Partners, where he served as VP of compliance.

Roney's new duties include financial and operational tasks as well as compliance and regulatory oversight. "I'll be working with a very knowledgeable customer base," Roney says, adding, "I know from working with the [NYSE] that Rosenblatt enjoys an excellent reputation for its compliance environment." Founded in 1979, Rosenblatt Securities is an agency-only institutional equities execution boutique that represents its customers in both the listed and over-the-counter markets.

"I always thought Rosenblatt was one of the companies I would fit into best," Roney notes. "I'm thrilled to have a chance to work with people who have such a high level of integrity and excellent reputations."
